TURK MURPHY'S JAZZ BAND - Dancing Jazz

In the fall of 1954, the arrival of Turk Murphy in New York to kick off his first transcontinental tour was an invitation to dance, and the crowds turned out. Every Saturday night was like New Year's Eve. Jumpin' swing music tunes include: "red Hot Mama"; "Jazzin' Babies Blues"; "Doctor Jazz"; "Sunset Cafe Stomp"; "Hula Lou"; "Coney Island Washboard"; " Oriental Strut"; "See See Rider"; and several others. This super-rare record is on the Original maroon & silver COLUMBIA Record Label (CL-650). The jacket has some minor edge wear, but is otherwise in Excellent condition. The record label & playing surfaces are clean & glossy, but show some minor light scuffing from handling & a few bubbles in the pressing. Overall, in near Excellent condition.
